Extra! Extra! Tink All About It!: New Ferrytale Wishes Fireworks Dessert Cruise!

Good afternoon, Tinkers!

Hope everyone had a magical Labor Day weekend and sopped up the ends of summer. My brain has switched to fall mode, so that means cinnamony scents in the house, a Pumpkin Spice Latte (ok, Iced Latte) in my hand, and fingers crossed for cooler temps in Orlando soon. I write this as my outside thermometer is reaching toward 94. Yikes. Well, I'm thinking fall thoughts at least!

It's such an exciting time of year in the parks! Crowds are small and exciting events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and Epcot's Food and Wine Festival are right around the corner. So while we are getting ready for these unique events, why not talk about another new offering that was just announced today?

I'm talking about Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise! This new specialty cruise will depart on select nights, from the Ticket and Transportation Center, one hour prior to Wishes. (If you happen to do the cruise on a night of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you will get to see those themed fireworks instead of the standard Wishes.) You and your family will board one of the two-decker ferries, and set sail for a cruise around Seven Seas Lagoon, while you enjoy some fabulous desserts, themed to the Magic Kingdom area resorts. There's a Key Lime Tart from The Grand Floridian Resort , Pineapple Upside Down Cake from The Polynesian Village, Spiced Flourless Chocolate Cake from The Contemporary Resort, plus Main Street Mickey Balloon Tarts, Mini Fireworks Popping Cupcakes, Cinderella's Sugar Slipper with Orange Financier, No-Sugar-Added Mango Panna Cotta and a Cheese and Fruit Spread. You will get to toast your magical night with a specialty alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage in a souvenir glow cup, which you get to take home, along with a souvenir plate. When it's time for Wishes to light the night sky, the music will be piped in so that you can enjoy the full show. PLUS, Disney being Disney, some special surprises are promised.

Reservations are required, as is pre-payment. It's $99 for anyone over the age of 9, and $69 for kids ages 3-9. This price includes tax and gratuity. To book, call 407 WDW-DINE, or go online to DisneyWorld.com/DINE.

I think this sounds like something special to do for the holidays, on a night that the Christmas Party is taking place. How fun would it be to sail the Seven Seas (Lagoon, that is),  listen to the festive music of the Holiday Wishes fireworks show, enjoy some tasty desserts and see one of the best fireworks shows on the planet? And since Not So Scary and Very Merry use fireworks shot from multiple locations, called "perimeter fireworks", your view would be even more spectacular! I'm gonna have to start saving up! Can't wait to go!
