Gooooood morning, Tinkers!
It's time to start thinking about the most wonderful time of the year again! No, not THAT time. I'm talking about that magical time of year when Guests wander around World Showcase, sloshed on wine flights and bloated with pierogi, and dancing around to the musical stylings of Wilson Phillips. That's right, kids, we are talking Food and Wine Festival time!!!
This year's festival runs from September 25th, through November 16th, and will take place not just in World Showcase at Epcot, but also in parts of Future World, as well. For those of you that are not familiar, Food and Wine gives park Guests the opportunity to try tasty treats and unique new beverages, see culinary demonstrations, and even rock out to some incredible pop music superstars from the 70's-90's. My personal favorite element to the festival is the actual food booths. Placed through out the park, the 39 different booths offer sample size portions of various food and drink items from different regions of the world. The items are typically priced in the $3-$10 range, depending on size and the ingredients. You pay as you go, at each booth, with cash, credit, your Magic Band, or even with Disney Dining Plan snack points. They even sell a Food and Wine Festival mini-gift card that you can preload with a set dollar amount, and wear it hanging from a chord on your wrist, for easy payment. And be on the look out for the free passport that is offered, listing all of the available items, so you can check them off as you go, or so you can preplan how you want to spend your money and stomach space.
What are these fabulous food and drink items that you are speaking of, you ask???? Well, just this week, the menus were announced. And if you're like me, you want to get a look at them ASAP, so you can figure out which booths you'll be sure and include in your trip around the "world". Shall we???
